Her work attempts to tell stories and impression with just one guitar — creating music that can move, evoke images, and stir something in the listener. Improvisation is an essential part of her creative process. Much of the work grows out of a deep connection to the instrument and the drive to crystallise perceptions into sounds. Rooted in classical music traditions, her compositions also draws on folkloristic elements and are strongly influenced by musicians who explore the possibilities of the classical guitar beyond its traditional role. Alongside her original work, Margareta's repertoire encompasses own arrangements of songs that are close to her heart — and maybe to yours too — as well as selected works from the classical guitar literature. She hopes to create a musical experience in which listeners can find their own emotions, images, and connections.

The Aeres Guitar Quartet was founded in 2021 by four guitarists — Liss Alva (Wangen i. A., Germany), Margaréta Lakner (Szeged, Hungary), Masha Sova (Saint Petersburg, Russia), and Luisa Khandro (Augsburg, Germany) — during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. Over four years of studying and performing together in numerous concerts, the ensemble has developed its distinctive sound.
The four musicians share a passion for discovering new sonic possibilities on the guitar and exploring the traditional boundaries of the instrument. Their repertoire continues to grow through their own arrangements and compositions, which they shape with both groovy and atmospheric qualities.
At the heart of their music-making are curiosity, creativity, and the joy of playing together — an energy that carries directly to their audience.
